Privacy notice
Effective: 24 October 2026. This notice covers visits to the scenavis.com corporate website and email enquiries initiated from it.
1. Controller and contact details
SCENAVIS DEFENSE SYSTEMS Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (short name: SCENAVIS DEFENSE SYSTEMS Kft.). Registered office: 1131 Budapest, Reitter Ferenc utca 142. 3. em. 29. ajtó, Hungary. Company registration number: 01-09-448502. Hungarian tax number: 24911564-2-41.
Privacy enquiries and data subject requests: adalbert@scenavis.com. You may also write to the registered office.
2. What data we process and why
Displaying and securing the website: the hosting provider processes technical data associated with web requests, such as IP address, request time, requested page or file, browser identifier and referring page supplied by the browser, and response status code. The purposes are delivering content, diagnosing faults and preventing abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our and our visitors’ legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website.
Email enquiries: the sender’s name, email address, voluntarily supplied organisation or contact details, message, attachments and technical email data. We use these to answer questions, discuss business and document the correspondence. Where you request steps towards a contract on your own behalf, the basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For general enquiries or correspondence with an organisation’s contact person, the basis is Article 6(1)(f): our legitimate interest in handling the enquiry and maintaining business communication.
Data comes directly from you or your browser. Contact links open your own email application; clicking does not send a message. The website has no enquiry form, account registration or newsletter subscription. Supplying email information is voluntary; without a reply address and enough information about the enquiry, we may be unable to respond. Please send only information needed for the matter.
3. Access and recipients
Enquiries are handled by the company’s authorised representative or staff member responsible for the matter. Access is limited to the relevant purpose.
Hosting and email: Namecheap, Inc., 4600 East Washington Street, Suite 300, Phoenix, AZ 85034, USA; support@namecheap.com. The provider operates hosting, email and related technical protection. Its processing and subprocessor terms are set out in the Namecheap Data Processing Addendum.
Data is disclosed to a court or public authority only where required by law or a lawful request. The website does not involve advertising disclosures or visitor profiling.
4. Processing outside the EEA
Namecheap is a US provider. Under its service terms, processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Its published Data Processing Addendum incorporates the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses under Decision (EU) 2021/914 (controller-to-processor, Module Two) for relevant transfers. The safeguards are available in section 9 and the annexes of the Namecheap Data Processing Addendum; you may also request information through our privacy contact.
For details of the provider’s own processing, see the Namecheap Hosting Privacy Policy.
5. Retention
General email enquiries: for no longer than one year after the enquiry is closed. The correspondence is then deleted, except for information required for a contract, legal claim or statutory obligation as explained below.
Correspondence required for a contract or legal claim: only the information needed for that purpose is retained until contract performance or the end of the period in which the claim may be pursued. The general limitation period for Hungarian civil claims is five years; its start and any interruption depend on the case. Documents qualifying as accounting records are retained for at least eight years under section 169 of Hungarian Act C of 2000 on Accounting, based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Retaining data necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims is based on the corresponding legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f). This does not mean all enquiry emails are kept for eight years.
Web access logs: the hosting account creates monthly web log archives. Under the configured monthly rule, the previous month’s web log archives are due for deletion at the end of the following month. The provider’s own security logs and backups are processed for the purposes and periods necessary under its service terms. Browser storage has the separate lifetimes described below.
6. Cookies and browser storage
The website application does not use advertising or analytics cookies or load external analytics services. Images and fonts are delivered from our own hosting.
Language preference: localStorage named scenavis-lang remembers only your selected Hungarian or English language. It has no set expiry and remains until you clear the browser’s site data or change the preference. It is not automatically sent to the server.
Session data: tsr-scroll-restoration-v1_3 stores scroll position for page navigation; a technical flag starting with tanstack_router_reload may prevent repeated reloads after a loading error. These are tied to the browser session and normally end when the tab closes; browser session restoration may restore them.
These technical entries support the display and navigation you request. You can delete them using your browser’s site-data controls; language and navigation preferences may then return to their defaults.
7. Your rights and requests
Subject to the GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Data portability applies where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract. If a separate processing activity relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Send requests to adalbert@scenavis.com or our registered office. We respond without undue delay, normally within one month. For complex or numerous requests, this may be extended by up to two further months; we will explain the extension and its reasons within the first month. Where justified, we may request information necessary to confirm your identity.
The website involves no profiling or decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
8. Complaints and remedies
You may complain to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) or another supervisory authority competent under the GDPR. NAIH address: 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11., Hungary; postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9., Hungary; telephone: +36 1 391 1400; website: naih.hu. Customer service email: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu. Formal proceedings cannot be initiated by that email address. See NAIH’s procedure and filing guidance for postal and electronic filing options.
You may also seek a judicial remedy for unlawful processing. Detailed rights are set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We update this notice when the website or its processing changes. Further processing for a different purpose will be explained separately before it starts.
